Dreamcatcher´s discography part 8: Dystopia: lose myselft

2020.11.25 23:24 Rude_Lifeguard Dreamcatcher´s discography part 8: Dystopia: lose myselft

With this album they definetly took a risk by 1. Having their lead not be 100% rock/metal focuse and 2. by adding such a pop song to the tracklist, one of this rick was worth it and the other not so much (for me). But overall this is a really nice album, the vocals are on point as always and the instrumental for most of the song are amazing
  1. BOCA: This is their most experimental lead single, the mix their rock/metal sound with latin sounds more especiafically reggaeton and i love, i hope they keep puting mixture of genres as their leads. Dami steals the show with "Hold up, i am a geek, the big paradox", that parts just keeps replaying in my head. The prechorus is really good, and the guitar in the chorus is amazing, i love this song. 10/10
  2. Break The Wall: This song has a very strong nostalgic feeling, the ist. reminds me of early 2000´s emo bands, i want to think and believe that the autotune was done on purpose to add texture and layers to the song and no that it happend by accident because i actually like how i sounds, especially in the second half of the song. I like the bridge a lot, the beginning is very strong and agresive, the midle part was more southing and then the last part has a similar vibe to the chorus. 9/10
  3. Can't get you out of my mind: I... dont... like...this. This is their most pop sounding song, i could see a handfull of other groups putting this out and i think for me that is a problem, it makes the song faceless. I think for the most part this is a good song, the vocals and the intrumental sound great, the chorus is catchy but this doesnt feel like Dreamcatcher, even in their songs that arent rock/metal you can still tell that the sound is different and not many other groups would do it but not with this song. This song also feels dated, not nostalgic but dated, like this is a song HFE had for the last 8 years and decided to give it to them. 5/10
  4. Dear: This song is beautiful, is the full ballad that i have been asking from them and i think its a great wrap up to their discography so far, the vocals are beautiful and the piano and the drums set the tone of the song. 10/10

2020.11.25 14:12 SternSiegel 27/M/US/ I Haven't Had a Pen pal in 15 Years. Would like to Try it Again!

Hello all. I'm a 27 year old non traditional college student living in the US, but my immediate family immigrated from Germany. When I was in the 6th grade, we had a semester project where we wrote a pen pal usually from another country and the person I got greatly impacted my life and made me a very worldly person I believe. I love making foreign friends and learning about their culture. Since then I've met many people over the internet and had a best friend from Hungary for nearly 12 years, dated a French person, and so on... but there's just something about waiting in anticipation for a letter that you don't get with a DM.
I should preface with a bit about me: I'm an awkward dork that loves to talk about science, books, nature, and space. I'm an honors student but I don't like to be a prude about it. I was all over the place in my studies and finally settled on experimental psychology as a major. I totally get if academics isn't your thing though. I also love anything expressive and creative and try to dabble in any art form I can get my hands on. Doodling, painting, sculpting, paper crafting, journaling, woodwork, calligraphy, knitting, candle making...I even tried to make plush toys for a while. A jack of all trades kind of situation. You can definitely expect some trinkets and doodles from time to time! If you are an artist too swapping art can be fun.
As for media...I don't really watch a lot of TV or movies and people usually find that very strange lol. I just can't find a lot of it relatable to really engage with. I love old animated movies like Plague Dogs or Secret of Nimh, and did watch anime for a while but grew out of it lately. I love video games though. Particularly the strange ones like Ecco the Dolphin,Silhouette Mirage, Katamari Damaci, or the philosophical types of RPG's like Baroque, Persona, 999, and I also play your givens like Final Fantasy, Pokemon ECT. If you're an avid gamer I have an extensive collection so reccomendations or even game swaps could be fun.
More personally I am unapologetically queer. Demi/Pansexual. I'm not afraid to break gender norms. I'm also a furry, and my fursona is a Musk deer. I also have some deep mental health issues so if I seem off or out of character at times that's normal for me and I'll come out of it. I'm atheistic but I respect other views as long as mine are respected. Just a disclaimer as I've started conversations with people and then they had a problem with me being "cringe or homo" so getting that out of the way upfront lol.
I'm rambling so...yeah if you found any of this relatable or even mildly interesting I'd love to hear from you and we can plan from there!
TLDR: If you want letters and art from a quiet geek with too much time on his hands who likes books, writing, art, and gaming, feel free to say hello.

2020.11.24 21:34 kitkatbec312 [Review] 36mm Yellow Gold Rolex DayDate from GeekTime

[Review] 36mm Yellow Gold Rolex DayDate with fluted bezel, stick number markers on President band from TD GeekTime
header pic
Hello! So the holidays are approaching and my dad wanted a rep Rolex for Christmas this year, so I started early knowing there would be extra shipping delays due to COVID.
Disclosure: N/a. I did not receive any compensation for this review nor was I asked to post here.
Seller: GeekTime from the TD list
Contact Method: email
Price: $338 for the watch + $30 shipping
Payment Method: PayPal FF
Order timeline:
Photos
PSPs
My Photos
Accuracy - 9.5/10
As far as I know, really great, super happy with the product!
*Edit:* The pics make it look like there is dust, but I've added some with it cleaned up from fingerprints, etc. Also added a pic to show color comparison to a yellow gold bangle.
Pros:
Fit, size: The size 36mm is what my dad wanted for that older generation "classic fit" since he isn't into huge watch faces, and wanted "a more subtle flex" (..sure haha).
Weight: Compared to some of my s/o's watches and he agrees the weight is good & solid, shows the quality.
Sound: Quiet! there is no dreaded ticking sound 😅
Details: The day and date are clear with no flaws. It has the BEAUTIFUL little "Rolex" text along the inside edges just like the auth. Stick time markers are all consistent and glow in the dark (I'm new and didn't know this, but super cool surprise feature).
Cons: Maaaaybe the bezel is more fluted on auths, but I don't have any in-person experience to compare? Slight tick in overall smooth movement-- overall really happy with it, but think the auth probably just moves more smoothly, so taking off -0.5 just to be picky.
Satisfaction - 10/10
For my first RepTime purchase, I'm very happy I went with TD GeekTime. Can't wait to give this as a Christmas gift!
Seller Communication and Service - 10/10
Eric is a superb seller whom I will definitely buy from again. Excellent communication, expertise, and trust for doing his own QC. He was also very chill to reassure there were no issues after my “S" vs. "5" blurry picture worrying! Thank you Eric! 😅
Let me know if this review was up to standard, I tried my best but happy to adjust!

2020.11.24 16:10 YamatoKurokawa what am i supposed to do when i feel life was not fair to me and things were taken away from me

what to do.?
i'm trying but i cant. my teens weren't the best. my parents restricted me, so i couldn't go out home except for school or somewhere they wanted me to go (with them). i had to deal with the fact people from school were going out and having fun while all i had was anime and videogames. they would go out and have fun during the day and also at night, then go post about it on social media. i couldn't. i had to stay home and play videogames, because there was nothing else left to do.

they would get their first kiss, first girlfriend, most of them were having sex also. i had none of that. not only because i couldn't go out, but also because my personality didn't match everyone else's back then, so everyone would just avoid making any unnecessary contact with me. the people who talked to me were the people in my same situation, nerds who watched anime and played games. i've been bullied of course, but won't include it because everyone's been bullied before and it's not the point.

the thing that makes me angry the most is that i did not have the same opportunities as everyone else. going out, getting a girlfriend, kissing on the lips, having sex, everyone had their first time doing those things at 14-15 meanwhile i could only have those much later, due to my circumstances as a teenager. even after reaching 18 i took a few years to get my first girl and have my first sex because i had to "learn" how to get those from zero since everyone learned that at 14-15 and i could only start learning it at 18. now everytime someone mentions they had girlfriends, kisses and a sex life before the age i started having those, i get angry. i don't let it show, but i get furious inside. i feel like destroying things. even when it's a stranger i get mad a little. now there's this girl i like and she likes me back, we've been dating and recently been thinking about finally being boyfriend and girlfriend. i think she's perfect and she says i am too, but she's 18 and i'm 22. and yeah, she had plenty of dates, kisses and even sex before 18. so yeah i get extremely angry and frustrated by that. i go home and take it out on the punching bag, but i don't believe that's a definitive solution. i can't even blame myself because it was not my fault my teens were like that, so all there's left for me is to be angry and pissed 24 hours a day. i mean everytime i look at my girl or someone else i know, i can't help but think they had so much stuff in their teens and i didn't. i was the geek whose parents didn't allow outside home, unmatching personality with the rest of the school so no friends other than other geeks, virgin and kissless until after 18.

2020.11.24 15:35 defo18 How do you tell your personality towards dating

Something that work for me in the past with any interaction was not hiding my true interests and such but when it comes to dating I feel like it gets even harder simply because I know my passions aren't really normal for a guy and even still I don't really think it would be something that will catch a woman's eye unless I already impressed her with something else
I'm a major geek. I draw and paint all the time and I have sold a few commissions but I'm nowhere near the skill level to where I can say I make it good enough amount of money through my art. But I am proud of it and it is something that is intrinsically a part of me.
The problem is I don't know how to do all of that towards interacting with women because I broke up with my last ex over the fact that she was turned off by my geekiness yet at the same time wanted wanted me to draw a picture of her
I've had too many horror stories in too many examples in my real life where shutting up about my nerdy hobbies and acting like stereotypical big black dude tries too hard to be overly masculine has worked way better
But how does a guy go about approaching a girl if he is a super nerd or an artist Like Me.
Right now with this pandemic it's hard to get out and even ee sell to try to find another girl it was into the Arts

2020.11.24 01:45 Feathertail11 Analysing the songs because why not part 2

This is part two, I posted part 1 yesterday. I suggest you read it first if you haven’t already as I reference it sometimes
The Squip Enters
This is short but it’s where we meet the squip for the first time. It’s very dramatic as the plot moves from exposition into the “rising action” (basically the plot properly starts here). Jeremy has a seizure when the squip is installing itself which is a bad start, suggesting that the squip is the villain. It also foreshadows the darker elements that come later in the story
Be more chill pt 1
The Squip immediately starts trying to “fix” Jeremy, and it’s the first time we see it “helping” him. Jeremy already has low self esteem and the Squip makes this worse, telling him that “everything about him is terrible” and everyone hates him. This makes Jeremy trust the squip more as the squip presents itself as an all powerful, intelligent supercomputer who is “much better” than Jeremy so therefore Jeremy should listen to him.
The Squip doesn’t let Jeremy speak, cutting him off and telling him to just listen to him. This is when Jeremy stops writing his own narrative and the squip takes over, drowning out Jeremy’s inner voice. In the Broadway version, the squip appears much more friendly, calling Jeremy “bae” as an attempt to appear he genuinely cares about Jeremy. He also uses a “stoner” voice, which he uses to sell the “friendly cool uncle/older brother who knows better” character
We see the Squip telling Jeremy to lie for the first time - although it’s a minor one, it starts the habit of making Jeremy lie about more serious things later.
Do you wanna ride?
Fun, harmless flirty song. It establishes that both Brooke and Chloe are interested in Jeremy, and as they are both popular, the Squip is improving Jeremy’s social status.
Be more chill Pt 2
Basically builds on the ideas in pt 1. The squip makes Jeremy repeat back the words, and then launches into a verse about how it “doesn’t matter that Jeremy is so awful because the squip is going to fulfil all of his hopes and dreams” (paraphrased). The squip is constantly criticising Jeremy, including passive aggressively “won’t be ugly anymore”. Establishes the squip shouldn’t really be trusted.
Sync up/more than survive reprise
This is different between versions but it basically follows the events of more than survive, except the squip is there. Both start with Jeremy trying to watch porn, but this time the squip shocks him, the first example of electroshock therapy. Michael actually appears in the instrumental, but instead of talking to Jeremy you can hear the squip blocking him without Jeremy’s permission. Rich comes up to bully Jeremy but then stops when their squips sync and Jeremy lies again.
The main difference is that instead of Jeremy being the main narrator, it is the squip that points out people to Jeremy and tells him personal information about. This shows how powerful the squip is, adds character development, and suggests the squip doesn’t have any morals over privacy. Jeremy is also having a much better day and goes to Christine with confidence this time, “swaggering”, which is a typical popular kid thing to do.
A guy I’d kinda be into
Christine is basically in love with someone who we expect is Jeremy, as it would make sense for the last line to end with “you” instead of “jake” as it would rhyme and she was getting closer with Jeremy during the song. This is the second time Christine ends a song without a rhyme. It also builds on her character, as she admits she can’t see herself doing one thing for all of her life, which could suggest she doesn’t know who she is yet/is not ready for a long term relationship.
The squip lurks
The squip decides that Jeremy needs to date Brooke to be popular enough to date Christine. This is significant as Jeremy would be directly lying and using Brooke as he doesn’t actually love her. It implies that the squip doesn’t care about hurting other people to achieve Jeremy’s goals, and also makes Jeremy cry as a way to manipulate Brooke.
Upgrade
The two river version is very upbeat, and it could remind the audience of a terms and conditions notice. The squip sells the upgrade as something Jeremy needs to get Christine, but doesn’t actually says what it is. The broadway version is a lot less happy, as it has to lead into Loser geek whatever. It has some character development for Jake as well.
Loser Geek whatever
This is a character song where Jeremy has a mental breakdown when he finds out the squip has been blocking Michael. It shows why Jeremy got his squip, more than just Christine. He clearly has been unhappy for a long time, frustrated that Michael is not enough for him as he is still very lonely. He just wants to be happy and is desperate to do that. It is a very angry song in general, and most of the anger is aimed at himself. He doesn’t have the self esteem to trust in his own decisions anymore as he thinks he is useless, both because of the squip’s words and in general before the musical started. For example “the problem has always been me” and “my instincts sucks so much!”
Instead, he relies on the squip to make his decisions, saying “mute the voice inside my head, and connect to another source instead” and “if my instincts have an objection, then that means I’m making the right choice”. This continues the theme of the squip being louder and more influential than Jeremy’s own inner voice.
He feels bad about leaving Michael “will I be able to pretend, I didn’t fail my one real friend?” However at this point he’s decided his opinion isn’t worth anything and the squip is always right. It’s interesting that will Roland sings this part quietly, as his own voice is now overpowered by the squip. He still clings onto Christine as the main “goal” no matter what, however.
He has internalised all the insults he’s ever been called and is very determined he will not be like that again, and the song ends. It’s an important moment where he chooses the squip over Michael, and is the end of the first act.
That’s it for now, I’m going on to act 2 tomorrow
Please tell me if this is annoying or unhelpful, I don’t want to spam the subreddit
Thank you!

[Personal opinion] Start-Up and its general audience reaction, its parallel model of the real world, and how we can view the series as we go through the plot
Reposted from asiandrama (originally posted in KDRAMA but this is considered an on-air discussion)
Hello everyone. So this has been running around my mind, and hopefully I can help engaging healthy discussions in this post. I'll be talking about how I viewed Start-Up, a currently airing K-drama, contrasted with how the writer desires to narrate the story to the general viewers.
Silicon Valley culture and present-day corporate world
Silicon Valley in San Francisco, California
It is apparent in present-day companies that they are somewhat influenced by the Silicon Valley culture and millennial-friendly work setups, and previous generations (actually, even some millennials who began their careers at old-school companies) are getting a hard time understanding that truth. I remember one of my uncles saying that it’s so impossible for a company to offer free lunch meals everyday at the office, while I’m at the office lining up getting free lunch. They also can’t believe that some companies prioritize personal growth at some point, while not necessarily disregarding the company vision. I’ve mostly been working with companies that embrace that culture, and all of these culture adaptations came from Silicon Valley.
This culture enabled one of the most talked upon entrepreneur bootstrapping methods, the so-called startup. Many envisioned millennials suddenly see this amazing culture fitting into their visions and dreams. This is the heart of a currently airing K-drama, which is named Start-Up.
Sand Box: a perceived parallel image to Silicon Valley
Sand Box, a fictional startup kickstarter
We see a so-called Sand Box, a fictional startup kickstarter district in Korea, parallelized with California’s Silicon Valley. The Sand Box building, as everyone saw in the series, is encompassed with what Silicon Valley was known for. Offering nice office spaces, free food, and conducive working environments are some of its key aspects. This attracted the attention of the main protagonists in the story, thus thinking about starting a business in Sand Box.
The Start-Up narrative
Start-Up's main protagonists
The story started with an emotional backstory that attracted viewers’ attention. There were siblings that had arguing parents - a father who was sick of the corporate world and wanted to start a new company with a vision, and a mother who wanted to get away from struggling financially. Their parents’ relationship suddenly went down, and their mother wanted a divorce. At the end, the father with a vision suddenly died, but the mother lived in luxury because of marrying another man who is a chaebol and had one of the siblings (Won In-jae) live with them.
Seo Dal-mi and Won In-jae, the siblings in the story
The side story to this sad situation is a young orphan who wants to live his life on his own and start his career all by himself, shadowed with a harsh childhood, which significantly molded his generally cold personality towards most people. Suddenly, the siblings’ grandmother noticed this guy and offered him a place to sleep. While their artificial mother-son relationship starts to grow, the grandmother suddenly asks this guy to write fake letters to the sibling who was left with her father. Here, an emotional rollercoaster is bound to be present in the series.
All after giving this one-episode long story, we were brought to a time leap to 2016, where three geek guys who finished computer science and engineering degrees decided to establish a startup, with a guy named Nam Do-san primarily running it. Looking back through the one-episode long backstory, this guy’s name was used for the fake letters because the young orphan saw his name in the newspaper.
The guys at Samsan Tech
Focusing on the three guys, they were typical stereotypes of the common computer geek. They were obsessed with coding, and like me, they were amazed with AI and computer imagery, therefore adding it as a basic component of their company. They were kids in their mid-20s dreaming to start a business, and as what is expected of amateurs in the startup industry, they weren’t getting any investments in the company.
Contrastingly, the young orphan is now the person whom we know as Han Ji-pyeong, a successful venture capitalist who has experience working with the tech industry. Cutting every detail short, we now see this guy suddenly meeting halfway with the geek guys, however a rivalry was bound to start because of how these people didn’t come up with an agreeable negotiation with meeting the sibling (Seo Dal-mi) whose fake letters were sent to.
The plot timeline and perceived character developments
The plot timeline
We can see the time plot focusing on the 2016 story*, where 12 episodes were dedicated to that time period alone. Based on the narratives, we can estimate a total running time of around 7-8 months in the plot squeezed into 11 and one-fourth** episode.
[* the 2016 setting can be inferred upon the cellphone dates seen when watching the drama]
[** the three-fourth is dedicated to the backstory]
Here, this suddenly makes a weird perception of the series. Why did the series focus on this timeline most of the time? By thinking over it, one thing was sure to me. The writer designed this series to make people focus on how businesses are created in the startup industry, but also, it included a somewhat awkward storyline to create a love story between the main protagonists, which generally also affected the perception of the public viewers. This is actually considered a slow-paced storyline, in which the viewers were fooled thinking that the startup venture took so long before the demo day, that is, the day where the companies in the startup kickstarter are pitted upon the products that they have made. All the people are watching is a very small percentage of the story between all the characters in the plot. This fooled a lot of viewers regarding the character development of the protagonists, as well as other characters in the story. It seems like on the 12 episodes alone, almost no one got a significant character development, although we can also see some improvements in the way they think in the series. In short, the developments seem not enough at all, and are waiting to unfold in the last 4 episodes of the series.
The acqhiring stuff: the pros and cons
Also, the acqhiring stuff that happened in the series was perceived negatively in the series. In the real world, this scenario can be both viewed positively and negatively. This method allows outstanding individuals to be absorbed in a large company, with big compensations that are rated at an all time high compared to the regular employees in the company. It's a fact however, that this will cause some people to be disbanded from the acquired company because they lack some qualifications. That is what happened in Episode 12, and it seems that everything went down so fast. In reality, it is an opportunity for the founders to expand their skill set, and once they decide to resign from the acquiring company, they still have the funds at the end of the day. This is what we need to look closely on the next episodes.
Why doesn’t the plot seem to sit well upon most viewers?
Most K-dramas are focused on constant character development. This is the reason why some series sit well upon viewers. For example, Crash Landing on You executed a clear character development with the female and male protagonists, and the details are well-delivered in every episode. When The Camellia Blooms also focused on constant character development between most of the characters while being distracted by a killer substory in the plot.
Start-Up wasn’t written to run that way. It is clear that the main focus of the 12 episodes alone are about running a business, alongside an unconventional love story plot. Also included is a deep character execution of most* characters, which caused a lot of discussions and arguments in social media and other platforms. This also caused a lot of hate with the main male protagonist, as well as other characters that seem to fare badly in the series.
[* some characters were not that expounded, ex. Won In-jae]
What to think about all the protagonists in the story?
It’s still enough to think about all characters rationally. Some might not understand how the main male protagonist doesn’t seem to engage well with his personality. Some also get angry because the second male lead is a primary example of a company executive who lash out on their employees, with some calling it constructive criticism.
Without understanding the context on why the series is written in such a way, emotions will always come first for those watching the series, causing them to have a hazy understanding of the story. I’m still happy that some people don’t watch the series this way.
Nam Do-san
In reality, however, most of the claims written by viewers can be considered valid. For example, Nam Do-san really doesn’t go well with maturity yet in the series. This personality, based on personal experience, is actually common with many computer science and engineering graduates, myself included. Many youths have a vision in their head but they still need to deal with the harsh reality of this world. They act with emotions rather than being rational.
Han Ji-pyeong
On the other hand, Han Ji-pyeong was generally being nitpicky and showed signs of lacking trust in people. We all knew that the series is based on Silicon Valley. How is this reality connected with how Han Ji-pyeong acts in the series? As cited on Wharton’s article (2019), millennials who work in Silicon Valley “want...the same as everybody else. Essentially, it’s just to be treated well, to be treated with dignity, to be treated with respect.” His character appears to miss this fact and as a result of his harsh past, he lashes out on other people who fail to meet his standards. The present-day Silicon Valley culture view this attitude as unacceptable.
What is the essence of having this K-drama aired on cable TV and Netflix?
Simply showing how businesses should be kickstarted is one of the essence of having this K-drama aired into everyone’s small screen. The series also suggests life lessons that might not stick well with the harsh reality of the world. Sadly, many fans don’t get a clear picture about this. I’m hoping that for the next episodes, everything can be cleared out for everyone, considering that we are now away with the 2016 setting.

Critic Reviews

33bits - Euyen Esquefa Pons - Spanish - 90 / 100
Football Manager returns with a continuous installment that focuses on fixing problems with the game engine, speeding up processes and adding quality of life improvements. He is still the undisputed king, but it is time for a competitor to appear.
GamesRadar+ - Ford James - 5 / 5 stars
Football Manager 2021 may not revolutionise the series, but instead it adds countless quality-of-life improvements – including ones to the match engine – that make it the best Football Manager game to date.
God is a Geek - Chris White - 9 / 10
Football Manager 2021 is a deep, detailed football management sim that rewards you for paying attention to your team. From the board of directors to your under-18 team, if you are willing to put in the time to achieve success, every win reaps tons of satisfaction.
IGN Italy - Davide Mancini - Italian - 8.4 / 10
Football Manager 2021 is the best episode ever of the series on the pitch, where the experience is nearly perfect in terms of simulation, while off the pitch the game has really a clumsy and obnoxious user interface. Overall, the experience is great and the football world feels tense, realistic and dynamic as never before, but there's still more room to improve the game in terms of narration, flow and emotional storytelling.
Metro GameCentral - Jay Jaffa - 9 / 10
Despite a lack of big ticket new features Football Manager 2021 delivers its best ever matchday experience and the series' most realistic on-pitch simulation of football.
PC Gamer - Phil Iwaniuk - 85 / 100
With a newfound litheness on the pitch and deep data analysis, FM21 gives you an easy excuse to relapse.
PCGamesN - Ian Boudreau - Unscored
I’m still working my way through my first season at the helm of the semi-pro Bath City FC (a team I’ve chosen as a way to connect with my coworkers in PCGamesN’s hometown), and so there’s still more I’d like to see before assigning a score – particularly, the initial patch that updates the beta build I’ve been playing. But my impressions of Football Manager 2021 so far are largely positive. This is a clear step forward over last year’s edition, even if some of its new ideas don’t completely work.
Screen Rant - Toby Arguello - 2.5 / 5 stars
It's an improvement over Football Manager 2020, but even so, it might be difficult to justify an upgrade to Football Manager 2021 except for dedicated fans who are willing to shell out, even if it only means minor additions and upgrades in the grand scope of the franchise.
Spaziogames - Italian - 8.5 / 10
The pandemic didn't stop the folks at Sports Interactive: even this year, their product is the undisputed king in the genre it created. A deep and rewarding medicine for all the weeks spent indoor.
The Games Machine - Gabriele Barducci - Italian - 9.2 / 10
Football Manager 2020 is another confirmation of Sports Interactive's ability in crafting a great title every year. No revolution is to be expected, but many smaller improvements bring the game ever closer to technical perfection. FM 2021 is clean and optimized, probably also thanks to the fact that the game will also release on Xbox One and Series XS.
Wccftech - Chris Wray - 9.5 / 10
Football Manager 2021 is by far the closest representation to the beautiful game you can find. With an improved matchday engine, improved AI and even more datapoints than ever before, all represented in a more digestible method, making it more accessible than ever before. However, there's still no doubt that the series is still going to have a high barrier to entry, and it has some irritating issues, such as repetition in the press conferences and other interaction aspects. Issues aside, this is yet another improvement and superior entry to the series.

[Personal opinion] Start-Up (K-drama), its parallel elements in the real world, and how we should view its plot
Hello everyone. So this has been running around my mind, and hopefully I can help engaging healthy discussions in this post. I'll be talking about how I viewed Start-Up, a currently airing K-drama, contrasted with how the writer desires to narrate the story to the general viewers.

2020.11.23 17:37 nycffun2 25 [M4F] NYC/East Coast - Looking for an Indian/South Asian who likes gaming, movies, and wants to date

Hello, thank you for taking the time out to click on my post. I'm a 25 year old single male from NYC whose interests are gaming, watching movies/shows, anime, drawing, cooking, and going out and around the city to explore/eat in restaurants. My favorite places in the city are the museums and parks, and any store that sells things I like. I like to hang around Manhattan mostly, but have gone out to Queens and Brooklyn a fair bit. I've lived in the city my whole life, gone to school here my whole life, and really love it here. I think that if my closest friends were to describe me, they'd say I'm caring, passionate, loyal, but also a fan of jokes and humor. I just try to keep an open mind when approaching most things.
As for what I'm looking for, I'm hoping to find an Indian woman to talk to, get to know, and hopefully date if we get along. Pakistani/Middle Eastern is also fine too. Ideally you also live in Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Queens, because I'd love to hang out and get to know you personally. I'm open to people from New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania as well, even farther if we really click. Don't care whether you're still in school, working, or neither. Don't care which politics you like. Any height is fine, plus size also welcome. All I really care about is that you're single and honestly interested in getting to know someone romantically.
Would be great if you're a gamer, nerd, or geek so we have similar interests, but I'm happy to hear about any you have regardless. What makes you happy/sad? What do you enjoy? Learning about people and their interests and hobbies always was exciting to me, and I'm a sucker for talking and ranting about passions. I want to talk regularly and build a really strong connection to one person and hopefully date if we really get along. I'd love someone to experience good memories and fun times with, as well as share thoughts, give advice, and support. Thank you for your time to read this, and if any of that sounds interesting please definitely send a message!

2020.11.23 14:27 Greedy_Masterpiece Thinking of moving to Accutane

TLDR: 0.1% tretinoin micro daily use doesn't prevent regular outbreaks, but I am afraid of moving to accutane. Help?
20M, so can't take birth control pills.
It's been 3 years since I found out about /SkincareAddiction and learnt what I could to do fix my skin - and I still feel depressed looking at my face.
I started with Differin for the first year, and that made a visible difference, but was temporary. PIH / PIE hit with a vengeance, and it was this year that I developed acne scars that are on my cheeks to this day.
I spent most of the year geeking out on different skin care products - including soaps - and derided my futile use of benzoyl peroxide as a teenager, just an year before this. I bought expensive skin care products, hoping and wishing that this time things would be different. That would would look acceptable enough to the people around me. That people won't be repulsed by my face.
I would go weeks with 3-4 swollen pimples (sorry, I can't remember the dermatologist terms) on some random part of my face, and rejoice for that one week when my face was clear.
The second year, I decided that I would "risk" it and use tretinoin 0.025% Routine: AM: - Wash face with random soap - Use moisturizer - Azelaic Acid 15% - Sunscreen
PM: - Wash face - Apply TO moisturizer (the one with hyaluronic acid) - [first half of year] Use tretinoin 0.025% + hydroquinone combo cream (don't remember the amount) - [second half of the year] Use tretinoing 0.025% cream
It again made a visible difference, and that made me happy. I wasn't grosteque. I went on my first date that year. I had attention from girls. I felt human. And then it stopped - my skin seemed to regress repeatedly. It was frustrating and made me feel slightly bipolar since my face would determine the amount of anxiety I would feel on that day - as if I didn't have issues with my body already.
When the quarantine began and I was at home, I had to endure my father calling my face "disgusting". It spurred me on to take another "risk" (which is what it felt like at the time), and I switched to Retin-A 0.1% micro.
Routine (April 2020 - current): AM: - Sunscreen sometimes (it's not like I left home anyway) PM: - Wash face - Apply TO Moisturizer - Apply a generous amount of retin-A
The best part is that using 0.1% micro would sting less than using the 0.025% cream. I started applying 0.1% micro daily and felt no side effects, just a sustained improvement of my skin. Adding azelaic acid to the routine in the morning would make my face sting a lot, so I didn't do it.
As the months passed, the efficacy of retin-A reduced in preventing new acne, although it was visibly better than using 0.025%. I have been getting frequent (weekly or twice a week) breakouts, which have resulted in constant PIH / PIE regardless of the use of 0.1% tret for more than six months straight.
Worse, I have been suffering from bacne since I was 15. I'm not sure whether it is fungal (since I am also suffering from intense dandruff and use ketoconazole 2% every two days for that) or not, but it is devastating to have someone comment on your back.
I know that the obvious thing to do next would be to upgrade to accutane. Based on my past experience, it should make things even better, and hopefully even fix my bacne. Unfortunately, the side effects put me off: it correlates with depression - and I've had a depressive episode I fixed with antidepressants last year - and IBS for example, but there's a lot of scary stories by accutane users out there. The idea of permanent side effects from accutane, makes me loathe the idea of even experimenting with it.
I would really appreciate advice from you guys. And before you say "go to your dermatologist", the last one I went to recommended me niacinamide for every issue I had, including blackheads.
Sidenote: I'd like advice for dandruff and blackheads too. I gave up on them a while ago, but I'm hoping for some new experiments that could fix things permanently.
